Pemara Design

Pemara Design is an Irish based furniture design company with roots deep in the Danish furniture traditions, focusing on the development of our own unique designs.

The company was founded by Danish designer Per Ploug, who has worked in the furniture industry for more than 25 years as a kitchen designer. Combining his many years of experience, his engineering skills and his knowledge of good interior design, made him form and create a unique dining table, which soon after was put into production. Other products, such as a complimentary bench and a chair, have since followed. The products are available through selected furniture retailers in Ireland.

Graphium & Cauda Chair

An iconic dining chair is one of the ultimate challenges for a furniture designer, since it has to fullfill an array of important design criteria… It must be strong enough to withstand years of use, light to be easily moved around. It must be comfortable to sit on for long periods of time, supporting you ergonomically correct. Lastly it must be aesthetically pleasing from all possible angles… It took a number of models and prototypes before the 3-legged Graphium was created. Available in oak, ash, walnut and mahogany.
